Hi, I’m John Shang — a professional actor, performer, and passionate educator in the world of cinematic storytelling and martial arts.

I’m a proud member and instructor in the Movie Martial Arts Program, a unique training initiative that blends screen performance with real-world martial arts. This program trains actors to perform fight choreography safely and convincingly, both for the camera and for live audiences — it is my honor to help others grow within it.

With years of experience in film, theater, and voice-over, my journey has taken me from sound booths to film sets, from indie productions to collaborations with major studios. Through all of this, my mission has remained clear: to bring characters to life with depth, energy, and authenticity — and to help others do the same.

Whether I’m teaching students how to fall properly on set, coaching them through their first fight scene, or working behind the mic to breathe life into a video game character, I bring focus, creativity, and professionalism to everything I do.
